An Israeli mechanical engineer, Izhar Gafni has designed a bicycle with recycled materials. The frame, wheels, handles and seat are made of cardboard, tires and drive belt, recycled rubber. With a weight of 9.1 kg (20 lb), the bicycle resistant to fire and water, can support a load of 220 kg (490 lb).

Izhar Gafni has created a small team, founded a company, Cardboard Technologies and tried to get an investment of $2,000,000 from a funding platform, Indiegogo. They failed to raise this sum. However, we would not be surprised to hear talk of this bike and its inventor soon…

Would you buy a bicycle carton for $ 25?
