Spot, the Most Agile Four-legged Robot From Boston Dynamics
The Boston Dynamics company, owned by Google since 2013, develops robots intended to military use essentially.
Spot, a robot looking as a large dog, was designed to keep its balance at any time, even after a kick. Demonstration in video!
This robot weighing 72.5 kilos (159 pounds) has four legs and sensors to locate itself and keep balance. Thanks to its electric motor and its hydraulic controls, Spot is also very quiet. With this new prototype Boston Dynamics marks a real progress compared to its predecessor Alpha Dog.
However, no press release was made available to announce this robot, and its purpose of use remains a mystery.
In your opinion, for what was it design?
