Drones for parcels … and then what?

UAVs are proposed to deliver Amazon packages with a maximum weight of 2.3 kg (5lb) in a radius of about 16 km (10 miles) and in less than 30 minutes. This was announced by Jeff Bezos, CEO and founder of Amazon company, December 1, 2013 on the program “60 Minutes” from CBS television network in the United States. This type of package of less than 2.3 kg (5 lb) represents 86% of deliveries from Amazon to their 225 million customers.

When this type of delivery could be done? Hard to say, it is now banned in most countries. Allow Amazon to do so could open the door to all sorts of deliveries … for example:

Express parcels in China…

Pizza…

Sushis…

Beer…

But the end of the end is the Burritos bomber!

Would you use a drone for delivery? If yes, for what kind of product would you use it?
