With 3D printing technology, we could build houses today using additive manufacturing process. In February 2012 during a TEDX conference presented in Ojai city, California, Dr. Behrokh Khoshnevis, professor and the Director of the Center for Rapid Automated Fabrication Technologies (CRAFT) and Director of Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Program at the Univeristy of South California (USC) demonstrates that additive manufacturing technology was ready for simple and complex houses construction.

Recently, Mr. Ma Yihe, president of Yingchuang New Materials chinese company used a similar additive manufacturing process to build not one but 10 houses in 24 hours!

This entrepreneur has demonstrated with this challenge the potential of this technology to build simple and affordable houses (less than 5000$) that could be very useful when natural disaster happens without forgetting peoples who would like to build their house and have it… tomorrow.
